No. Dr. Martinetti, will recommend the patient be seen by an Ear, Nose and Throat Physician (ENT) if necessary . An exception would be if the patient has a sudden hearing loss in one ear - then an ENT would be recommended immediately .
A person holding an AuD degree is a Doctor of Audiology. As a hearing healthcare professional, an AuD has 4 years of college & 4 years of post-graduate education and internship training. AuDs are required to keep abreast of the latest advances in hearing healthcare via yearly continuing education courses.
